My Writing
Growing up, I always had an affinity for fantasy books. Whether it was Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkein, Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, or The Lost Years of Merlin by T.A. Barron, I have always loved a great fantasy series. Stories that transport readers to another realm, allow them to meet unique characters, and present them with moral dilemmas are the ones everyone remembers the most and what I strive to create in my own writing.
My History
Matthew S. Cox is a laboratory technician by day and author of the fantasy series Chronicles of a Shackled World by night. He graduated from Lincoln Memorial University with a B.S. in Biology, where he wrote a dissertation on aquatic macroinvertebrates and began the Shackled World universe. He lives in beautiful East Tennessee as an avid baker, a tuba player, and a father of one son.
